Old Greenwich took top honors as the best in the state earning A+ grades across the board, according to a report released by Niche this week, which ranked the best places to raise a family in New York based on the quality of public schools, safety, affordability and access to family amenities based on collected data.

Several Fairfield County locales made the cut, right behind Old Greenwich, with Weston (third) and Ridgefield (fourth), making the top five. New Canaan (sixth), Westport (seventh), Riverside (eighth) and Greenwich rounded out the top 10. 

Other Fairfield County municipalities to make the list includes Wilton (13), Cos Cob (14), Darien (16), Fairfield (19) and Southport (22).
